MATCH MAKING:  DOUBLING YOUR YEAR-END GIFT TO SIGNATURE
If you’re a Signature Theatre donor, are you aware that you can give even more to Signature without reaching into your wallet?  Many companies offer employee matching gift programs that, in effect, double (or in some cases even triple) cash contributions to non-profits.  Generous employees of Verizon, IBM, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AT&T, McGraw Hill, Wachovia, the May Companies—and more have all helped sustain Signature’s artistic and community programming by filling out a simple form.

Not sure if your company or employer supports a matching gift program?  Check with your Human Resources office, office administrator, or company web site to find out.  Companies have various methods by which you can submit your matching gift request: a simple paper form, online forms, automated phone systems or you can submit a company form to Signature Theatre’s Development Department.  Of 11,500 companies surveyed by Blackbaud, Inc., 80% matched their employees’ cash contributions at least dollar for dollar in 2002.  More than 640 companies gave $2 for every $1, and 80 gave matches of 3 to 1. 

When making your year-end contribution, please consider earmarking Signature for a corporate match. It truly makes a difference in our ability to continue high-quality programs you have come to enjoy. We encourage you to notify Signature of your matching gift request so that we may properly credit you for the gift and assist in the gift tracking process.
