A young boy whose big dreams are opening his eyes to the past. Reluctant at first to share his feelings with peers and his foster family, when he finally opens up he is full of questions.
Mrs. Crandall

Billy's social worker from the St. Louis Department of Child Welfare.
Elizabeth
30-40 alto
Billy's mother who as a youth she had high hopes of being a star journalist but now has fallen into depression. She must prove that she can hold a job to get back her son from his foster family.
Louise
25-35 soprano
Billy's foster mother. She is trying her best to be a first time mother and is elated when Billy finally starts warming up to his new home.
Edward
25-35 baritone
Billy's foster father who thought it would be a nice gesture to buy him a model plane
Ace
20-30 tenor/baritone
Billy's guide through his dreams. He is a brave and intelligent World War II pilot, who has a bit more in common with Billy then it would first appear.
John Robert
20-30 tenor A World War I pilot. We discover that he is Ace's father and the inspiration for becoming a pilot.
School Bully/Young Charlie
12-15 tenor The typical playground bully that likes to steal lunch money for fun / Ace as a child
Ruth

A colonel's daughter who we see go through all stages of happiness and mourning. She falls in love with John Robert and is the mother of Ace.
Sidekick

The bully's right hand man.
Emily

A new kid in school herself, she approaches Billy as an ally in the playground. She wants to help Billy understand his dreams using her super sleuth skills.

A young, trim, handsome, charming murderer/terrorist. He is too crazy to be allowed into the IRA, yet still considers himself “a lieutenant in his own brain." His 15 year old black cat, Wee Thomas, is the only friend he can trust, willing to even kill his father if something were to happen to him. From Inishmore.
Mairead
15-25.
A boyish lass and great admirer of Padraic. She is a younger tougher version of her brother Davey. She is a perfect companion to Padraic and a dead shot with an air rifle. Her illogical reasoning led her to once shoot the eyes out of cows to protect them from the avarice of "the meat trade." From Inishmore. CAST. Performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.
Donny
40-55.
Padraic’s father. Guardian of Wee Thomas, a cat, and owner of the house, even he is afraid of what his son’s anger can amount to. His motto should be “every man for himself”. From Inishmore. CAST. Performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.
Davey
16-25.
The likely teenage culprit of neighborhood crimes, he is able to contain his cool despite his fear. He’s slightly pudgy and is proud of his long hair. From Inishmore. CAST. Performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.
James

A quick thinking pot dealer who understands the wrong doings he has done. Northern Irish. CAST. Performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.
Christy
30-45.
The head of Padraic’s splinter group who thinks he’s gone too far this time. His eye patch is a result of an earlier Padriac mistake. Northern Irish. CAST. Performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.

An amoral Hollywood agent hellbent on keeping her superstar client in the closet. Obnoxiously witty and to the point, she sees love as just another irritating speed bump on the road to serious power. Mitchell
25-35.
Straight but curious upcoming film actor described as the “guy next door” type. He doesn’t like to admit that he owes his career to Diane, his agent of seven years. Uses Alex as a sounding board for the feelings he can’t express outside of his hotel room. CAST. Performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.
Alex
20-30.
A young “rent boy” that becomes attached to Mitchell while called upon to be a male escort. His complicated feelings towards Mitchell surprise not only his girlfriend, Ellen, but himself as well. CAST. Performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.
Ellen

Alex’s on-off girlfriend. She is a Westchester party girl, and while possessive of Alex, inevitably just wants to talk about herself all day.

A man born from grime and addicted to his own impulses, the Theif is dangerous with enormous sex appeal. He is willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. The Janitor / A Priest

A third generation rancher. An imposing figure on the Realta ranch, he loved Leslie from the moments he set eyes on her.
Jett

A sultry sulking farmhand who can most often be found in the shadows of the ranch. He is an enticing threat to Leslie, even after he is kicked off the ranch.
Vashti

A down to earth fiddle playing girl from the ranch next door. She will never forgive Bick for not marrying her and uniting their ranches to make the largest in the world.

Another young cowboy who yearns to learn Leslie's city ways.
